Halloween may be over, but I love to dress up, and you can cosplay year-round, so I’m continuing my Riverdale costume ideas! Like the Riverdale Vixens outfits, the Pop’s Chock-lit Shoppe outfits are fairly easy to put together and so cute! Betty, Veronica, Cheryl, Josie, and Melody all wear various versions of this outfit for Retro Night (Season 2 Episode 2) while they’re raising money to save Pop’s.
The base of the Pop’s outfits are yellow Pop’s Chock-lit Shoppe ringer tees (luckily Hot Topic has one right now!) and burgundy shorts. Most of the characters also wear a thin white belt (braided, if you want to get really specific) with the shorts and white and yellow striped knee socks (like the ones the Riverdale Vixens wear) and skates or white tennis shoes.
Betty and Veronica
In this episode, there are a bunch of background characters wearing the Pop’s outfits with skates, and they’re skating around Pop’s serving milkshakes old school style. Betty and Veronica don’t wear skates though–they wear white tennis shoes/Keds with the yellow and white knee socks like they do at cheer practice. And right on character, Betty has her hair in her signature blonde curled ponytail, and Veronica wears pearls.
Cheryl, Josie, and Melody
As per usual, Cheryl has to stand out and wear something slightly different, so instead of the knee socks and Ked’s or skates, Cheryl opts for deep red/burgundy over the knee boots (how many pairs of over the knee boots does Cheryl own?!) When she performs Milkshake with Josie and Melody, they all wear pussycat ears (though they’re silver and not the same as the usual ones). Since they weren’t excepting to perform that night, Josie and Melody aren’t in uniform when they arrive, but then they change into the Pop’s shirts and burgundy shorts, and like Cheryl, Josie wears over the knee boots, but black instead of red. They don’t really show a full shot of Melody’s Pop’s outfit in the episode, but she’s wearing shorter black boots (you can kind of see them in this gif.)
Pop’s Chock-lit Shoppe Tee & Burgundy Shorts (These are both what I’m wearing/the photos included in the Pinterest photos). Unfortunately the size range on the specific shorts I got isn’t good, but they aren’t anything special, any high rise burgundy shorts would do.
