Golden Milk Oatmeal

Easy vegan and gluten free golden milk oatmeal!

  • ½ cup 60g rolled oats (Use certified gluten free if you have Celiac.)
  • 1 cup 240 ml water
  • 1 small apple 125g/4.4 ounces
  • 1 Tablespoon maple syrup agave, or sweetener of choice
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried turmeric
  • 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
  • pinch black pepper
  • pinch dried ginger
  • splash plant milk optional
  • pinch nutmeg & cloves optional
  • toppings: cinnamon walnuts, pumpkin seeds, raisins (optional)


  • Chop apple into small pieces.
  • Add oats, water, chopped apple, turmeric, and the rest of the spices to a small pot and bring to a boil over medium/high heat.
  • Once boiling, turn down to low, cover, and simmer for 5 minutes until oats have absorbed all of the water.
  • Turn off the heat, add maple syrup, vanilla, and plant milk, and stir. Add toppings and serve immediately.
