Ingredients

60g rolled oats (Use certified gluten free if you have Celiac.)
1
cup
240 ml water
1
small apple
125g/4.4 ounces
1
Tablespoon
maple syrup
agave, or sweetener of choice
1/2
teaspoon
vanilla extract
1/4
teaspoon
dried turmeric
1/8
teaspoon
cinnamon
pinch
black pepper
pinch
dried ginger
splash plant milk
optional
pinch
nutmeg & cloves
optional
toppings: cinnamon
walnuts, pumpkin seeds, raisins (optional)
Instructions
Chop apple into small pieces.
Add oats, water, chopped apple, turmeric, and the rest of the spices to a small pot and bring to a boil over medium/high heat.
Once boiling, turn down to low, cover, and simmer for 5 minutes until oats have absorbed all of the water.
Turn off the heat, add maple syrup, vanilla, and plant milk, and stir. Add toppings and serve immediately.
